The Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, Roderic O’Gorman, today announced that applications can now be made for funding from the LGBTI+ Community Services Fund.
The 2024 LGBTI+ Community Services Funding Call is designed to support LGBTI+ people in line with the aims of the National LGBTI+ Inclusion Strategy.
Announcing the opening of the 2024 fund, Minister O’Gorman said:
“The opening of the LGBTI+ Community Services Funding Call today coincides with Pride celebrations, and recognises the key contribution made by LGBTI+ organisations to supporting LGBTI+ people and to providing crucial services to them.
For the past four years, the Fund has provided vital funding to organisations throughout the country to enable LGBTI+ people to participate fully in Ireland’s social, economic, cultural, and political life.”
The Minister added that he was also making additional funding available to support organisations working with LGBTI+ young people.
“I am delighted to announce that I will shortly announce details of additional funding of €400,000 that I am providing to NGOs to support young LGBTI+ people. This reflects my commitment and that of the Government to responding to the particular challenges and needs of young people.”
