Specialist insurer Ecclesiastical is inviting people to nominate youth charities to receive €5,000 as part of Benefact Group’s Movement for Good Awards.
The special draw is designed for charities whose core charitable purpose is to support children and young people (aged 23 and under).
Nominations for the children and young people charity special grants are open from today Monday 17 June to Friday 21 June. It’s quick and easy to nominate a children and young people charity online at https://youth.movementforgood.com/. Winners will be drawn at random and the more times a charity is nominated the more chance it has of being selected.
David Lane, Managing Director for Ecclesiastical Insurance Ireland, said: “Today, we are encouraging people to nominate youth charities to win one of ten €5,000 special grants. There are many youth charities supporting children and young people in Ireland and Ecclesiastical Insurance Ireland is committed to supporting these organisations as they deliver on their mission and values.
The Movement for Good awards is the perfect opportunity for charities and their supporters to provide these organisations with the opportunity to receive a financial boost. Charities including Childrens Books Ireland, Kid’s Own, Educate Together, JIGSAW, ECO-UNESCO, and Citywise Education have all benefitted from Ecclesiastical’s charitable donations in the past, and today you can help some others get the financial boost they need. You are one click away from supporting a cause close to your heart! Please vote”.
Ecclesiastical Insurance is proud to continue its long tradition of supporting charities through the Movement for Good Awards. Since the introduction of these awards, Ecclesiastical Insurance has awarded over €500,000 to charities across the island of Ireland.
This year alone, over €370,000 will be donated in €1,000 grants throughout the year. €250,000 will also be given away in €5,000 special grants, aimed at helping charities in specific sectors. Winners will be drawn at random and the more times a charity is nominated the more chance it has of being selected. Finally, up to €500,000 will be given in larger amounts over the course of the year.
