The RTÉ Toy Show Appeal has opened for applications today, 12th February 2024. Established in 2020, the RTÉ Toy Show Appeal endeavors to generate funds for Irish children’s charities via the televised Late Late Toy Show. Since its inception, it has amassed over €21 million in donations to aid these charities.
Children and family charities with yearly incomes ranging from €10,000 to €500,000 are eligible to apply for the Community Grants Round where grants of €10,000 – €20,000 will be awarded, and applicants should apply for funding within these brackets.
Meanwhile, those with annual incomes exceeding €500,000 are encouraged to apply for the Impact Grants Round, where grants of €20,000 – €50,000 will be awarded, and applicants should apply for funding within these brackets. Applicants are urged to carefully review the criteria outlined before seeking funding. Deadline for applications to the RTÉ Late Late Toy Show Appeal is 6pm Thursday 14th March 2024.
Last year, €4,000,000 was raised and dispersed through 134 grants, reaching over 1.1 million children and their families throughout Ireland. Thanks to the ongoing generosity of the Irish public, this year’s Appeal has garnered over €3,600,000. These funds will be allocated through two open grant rounds in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
The funding is being administered by Community Foundation Ireland. For more information and details on how to apply to the RTÉ Toy Show Appeal visit https://www.communityfoundation.ie/apply-for-funding/
